This is to serve as a compensation for the bugs that plague the event and in some cases prevent players from being able to complete the missions and fully participate in the event. The announcement was made by Eric Musco on the forums on July 17th.

The duration of the event was extended by two weeks and the new end date is now August 25. The 2020 edition of the event starts on July 14 and ends on August 25. You can travel via your personal ship to Nar Shaddaa and head to the Lower Promenade, which will allow you to get to the Casinos. The new location on Mek-Sha is in the Bazaar, located in the Three Points zone. The event is active usually once per year for about a month and is hosted on Nar Shaddaa – the Club Vertica Casino for the Republic players and the Star Cluster Casino for the Empire citizens. To participate in the event, you are not required to watch these cinematics, you can simply travel to Nar Shaddaa’s casinos. There are two intro cinematics that you can watch on the Fleet – one for Republic, one for Empire. Nightlife 2020 offers also a few new rewards available from the slots as a random win and/or as a random purchase from the prize vendors. The event is open to all players and this year it expands to Mek-Sha, which was released with Onslaught 6.0. There are several new missions, rewarding you with casino chips, credits and XP/Renown. The starter missions are the same (explained and shown in detail below). In 2020 the event expands to Mek-Sha as well. It appears once every year, usually during the Summer and allows you to participate in fun missions and gamble with in-game currency on virtual slots to win in-game prizes.
